Dreammaster DMV

Dreammaster, born in 2003, was bred by Dreamcatcher Meadows utilizing embryo transfer. This 16.3 h.h. liver chestnut Hanoverian stallion exhibits the finest traits of his celebrity parents: sire Dimaggio, the 2002 World Breeding Champion and dam, and dam, theFEI award winning dressage competitor Dreamcatcher Elite (registered Hanoverian as EM Daisy Dee).  It is rare to have both parents with exceptional high level competition records. Also, and importantly, his own offspring demonstrate this inherited beauty, temperament and fabulous movement.

Dreammaster DMV dazzled the breed show and dressage world with his 2010 debut in the U.S., winning numerous championships: the highest score of 33 top Hanoverians including Grand Prix level competitors, attaining Hanoverian breed champion at Devonwood; multiple championships including show Grand Champion at Spokane Spectacular; and multiple championships at the 2010 USEF breed final in Spanaway WA.  His scores range from 75 to 88%!  The American Warmblood Society awarded him Supreme status during his licensing approval and then awarded him the 2010 Inspection Stallion of the Year.  He was 4th overall in the 2010 USDF Dressage Breeding Horse of the Year.  Olympic Medallist Charlotte Bredahl-Baker has been training Dreammaster DMV since February 2011.  In April the new partnership debuted in dressage competition and rarely stepped outside the winner’s circle.

Dreammaster DMV’s extravagant yet correct paces consistently earn “9s” from judges.  Charlotte has found his firmly established basic training gained at Dreamcatcher Meadows, and inherent trainability, prepared him well for learning the FEI advanced work. In addition to comprehensive clean x-rays, his 2011 competition results exceeded the show requirement element necessary for presenting him for Hanoverian breeding licensing.  The inspection was held in August at Rainbow Equus Meadows, Sacremento, before the American and German Hanoverian licensing committee.  They unanimously passed him, stressing his great temperament and focus were very apparent on this day; the young stallion obediently performed for his initial trainer, John Dingle, who presented him in hand and under saddle, at an unfamiliar stud with stallions and mares prancing about next to the arena.  One judge defined him as “the epitomy of the modern sport horse”.  Under scrutiny by seven people, they agreed he was an important new addition and opportunity for North American breeding.

In November 2011 Dreammaster DMV was awarded three Horse of the Year titles at the annual USDF event.  The AWS presented him with the All Breeds Prix St. George Championship, the Dressage Horse of the Year and the FEI Horse of the Year.  AWS President Kathy Wilson enthuses: “This is exciting because Dressage Horse of the Year is calculated on scores for all horses/all levels. It typically goes to a lower level horse that may have higher percentage.”   The USEF coaching team had the opportunity to meet Dreammaster DMV after the awards evening, when Charlotte rode him at Del Mar where the USDF Symposium was held.   One commentator describe him as the “Master-piece”.  Dreammaster continues his training, focusing now on the Grand Prix.  With sights on the international league, plans are to compete at CDIs.

The offspring of Dreammaster DMV establish him as a “mare maker”.  He has progeny from a diverse group of mares: embryo transfers from Hanoverians; natural breeding to thoroughbreds, crosses with coldbloods such as Quarterhorses and more recently, Warmbloods with strong jumping pedigrees.  Offspring consistently demonstrate Dreammaster DMV’s loving temperament, easy trainability and exceptional paces.  His eldest son, Mastermind, a 2007 gelding out of a thoroughbred mare, won the FEI 4 year old championship at both a Canadian and American top show.  A daughter is successful in the hunter jumper arena and another son is also excelling at dressage shows.  That none of his offspring’s owners are willing to sell their youngsters speaks volumes.  They are, however, happy to provide references.  At this point we do not have progeny of our own to sell as all of our broodmares are closely related to him.  Breeding bookings will be limited due to our focus on his training and competing.
